In one of the most despicable cases of design alteration known to this organization, eBay user pcheltenham advertised this Scott #7 with design elements at bottom drawn in by hand to make it look like the rare and famous Scott #5. The stamp attracted 34 bids, and sold to a trusting buyer for $2,524.99.
This stamp was purchased weeks earlier by chickfrdstk, a known known associate of pcheltenham (probably the same person), as a pair of Scott #7s for $61.
